Summer of Beauty: June, July, and August Favorites

Summer is one of my favorite seasons (besides this extreme heat wave we have going on right now)! This summer I have a ton of beauty favorites because I have been trying so many new products. It definitely doesn’t help that there is an Ulta 5 minutes away from my new apartment… oops… Speaking of which, I got a big girl job and moved to a new city, so that is why I haven’t been able to blog as much lately. But now I am definitely back and ready to blog more than ever. With that said here are my summer months favorites!

Fashion

Pack Your Trunk Aerial flowy tank – I have been obsessed with this tank all summer. Any time I need to get a little dressed up or just feel like wearing Lilly, this has been my go to.

AEO Denim X High-Rise Shortie – I usually am not a fan of high waisted shorts because I am not a fan of my cheeks falling out, but I really like these particular shorts because they are longer.

Stripes – I feel like half of my closet consists of striped clothes. I absolutely love stripes, whether they are thin or thick. I feel like stripes are just very flattering on my body and I love them on a causal or dressy day.

Beauty

St. Tropez Tanning Essentials Summer Favorites Kit – I tried St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse Screen Shot 2016-07-21 at 2.54.49 PM.pngfor the first time back in April and I loved it! It goes on so smooth and doesn’t streak, giving me the perfect summer glow. It was one of my April & May favorites so I decided to buy the full size to enhance my tan this summer since I can’t spend too much time in the sun due to skin cancer risks. Self tanning is definitely the best and safest alternative to long sun exposure and tanning beds. I highly suggest you invest the money in this great product!

NYX Hi Definition Photo Concealer Wand  & NYX Dark Circle Concealer – Last month I was looking for a new concealer because my old one just wasn’t cutting it anymore. I was tired of using a product that didn’t last all day or cover my dark underage circles. I recently started using these two products together and I love the coverage they provide to my undereyes! I like to carry the dark circle concealer with me as well so I can touch up during the day if needed.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner – I was previously using a L’Oreal and Victoria’s Secret liquid eyeliner, and they were just too hard to control and would bleed all over my eyelid when applying. I had heard many people talking about the Stila eyeliner so I decided to give it a try. I am glad I gave it a chance because it is now definitely my favorite liquid eyeliner!

Stila Forever Your Curl Curl Memory Mascara – I bought this product at Nordstrom Rack Screen Shot 2016-07-21 at 3.22.31 PM.png
back in May, but didn’t use it until June. I really like to use this mascara after a coat of my L’Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara. The only thing I would complain about this product is that it is not waterproof.

NYX Control Freak Eyebrow Gel – I have always been told I have beautiful eyebrows, but the one thing that has always drove me nuts is that they don’t stay in place. This gel is cheep, but holds your on fleek brows in place all day!

Screen Shot 2016-09-01 at 9.16.02 PM.pngMaybelline The Nudes Wear Eyeshadow Palette – This inexpensive palette is the perfect dupe for the Naked palette. I don’t really have the money to invest in the Naked palette, so I picked this one up instead and I love it! I am very minimalistic when it comes to eyeshadows and I love my nudes, so the is the perfect cheep, everyday palette for me.

L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Powder – I used to hate powder and how it made my face look cakey, but I noticed my foundation wasn’t lasting all day because I wasn’t setting it properly. I saw this powder in a Youtube video so I decided to give it a try… And I am so glad I did! This powder doesn’t make your face look cakey at all! It adds a nice, matte finish to your look. It is the best powder I have ever used and it’s very inexpensive!

Food

Diet Snapple Peach Tea – One word: YUM. I have always been a lover of tea, but this drink is hands down my favorite summer drink.

Coffee-mate Creamy Chocolate flavored creamer – This stuff makes your coffee taste like chocolate milk. Do I need to say more?

Music

Buckeye Country Superfest – In June I went to this country festival in Columbus, OH for the second year in a row and it was amazing. Lady A, Dirks Bently, Randy Houser, Florida Georgia Line, and Luke Bryan were some of my favorite artists there. Country fest are definitely my favorite!

Summer Hits of the 2000s Radio – This summer I decided to throw it back to some of my favorite summer tunes by listening to the Summer Hits of the 2000s Radio on Pandora. I have constantly been listening to country music, so this station gives me a break from that.

Vans Warped Tour – Rolling off of the throw back of summer hits, I have rediscovered some of my favorite music from my teenage years. One of my favorite bands is Yellowcard and this month I went to Warped Tour in Cleveland. I was excited that I got to meet one of my favorite musician’s, Sean Mackin, but was also sad to hear this year will be Yellowcard’s last tour.

Gold by Kiiara – This song is so catchy. I can pretty much listen to it no matter what mood I am in.

Oceans (Young Bombs remix) – I have been really into remixed songs and trap lately.  These songs pump me up and put me in the best mood.

Stressed Out (Tomsize Remix) – Again, I have been really into remixed songs lately and this remix is better than the original song. I really am not a fan of Twenty One Pilots, but this remix is perfect.
