Hey y’all! Long time, no blog post! I have been super busy the last two weeks and just haven’t made the time to sit down and write a blog post. Last weekend, I attended a blogger event at Alson Jewelers and spent the day with some of my blogger friends in Cleveland (more to come on that soon). On Sunday, Corey and I went to a pumpkin patch and corn maze in Hartville. This weekend we returned to our alma mater for homecoming and enjoyed time with old friends and relived our college days of drinking and not getting enough sleep (I am definitely feeling the after effects this week lol). Styling a Poncho for Fall
After a hot weekend, the fall weather decided to finally come yesterday. With the chilly fall breeze, it is the perfect time to break out one of my favorite fall trends: ponchos. Last winter I purchased my first poncho and I fell in love with the style! So today I am sharing another poncho I love and how I style it.
I received this poncho for Christmas last year and love it. I really love the Aztec-like print and beige and gray colors! Ponchos are super easy to throw on and are cozy and comfortable. It is literally like wearing a blanket all day. I personally love laying long sleeve shirts under my ponchos because it keeps you warm. Nothing is worse than a cold breezing blowing on your bare arm. I typically will wear a solid color shirt that matches one of the colors in the poncho, but for this one, I just wore a simple white long-sleeved tee under it.
I went for my casual style by wearing jeans and pulled the outfit together with my favorite BP. ankle booties. I also paired a bold statement necklace with this look to dress it up a little more. Unfortunately, my poncho and booties are no longer available, but I have included similar styles below for you to recreate this look.
