My Resolution for 2016

Last year I wrote a blog post called 10 Resolutions Every Girl Should Make For 2015. I have to say, I actually did a good job at keeping my resolutions and cut out much of negativity out of my life. One resolution I majorly failed to keep was skipping the gym on days I had plenty of time to go. With that being said, my resolution or goal for this year, along with the same resolutions I had last year, is to complete Kayla Itsines’s BBG program. 

I found Kayla’s BBG program this past fall as I was browsing around on Instagram. Not only was I impressed with her photos, but I was impressed
and inspired by the stories of Screen Shot 2016-01-04 at 9.10.22 PMgirls and women of all ages doing her program. Not only do I want to lose a little weight, but I want to be fit and healthy this year. One of the biggest struggles I have faced at school is actually taking the time out of my day to go work out, rather than laying on the coach or in bed and binge watching Netflix. Something I have really struggled with in the last year is feeling confident with my body, which is actually a first for me. I have always been a very confident girl, but recently that has been changing. I feel like it is time to finally take control and do something about it.

How I plan on sticking with it:

  1. Joining a BBG support group on Facebook – One of the biggest things I struggle with when it comes to fitness is staying motivated. By joining the BBG Babes group on Facebook, I can talk to other girls that are doing the exact same thing as me. Together we can stay motivated, talk about our struggles, and get fit!
  2. Planning ahead – in the past I have gotten a Lilly Pulitzer planner; however, this year I decided to get the Day Designer planner so I can completely plan out my days. By planning out my days ahead of time, making a to-do list for each day, and writing my goals for each week, I will be able to stay on task and complete the things I actually need to do… Including working out!

This is going to be a major challenge for me, but I am excited and ready for the challenge. What is your New Year’s resolution?
