Hey y’all! Long time, no post. In fact, this is the first favorites post I have done in a lonnnggg time so I figured it was about time for a new one. July was crazy busy for me; I went to the Faster Horses country music festival and saw some of my favorite artists, including Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley. I have also been spending a lot of time with my family and Corey. Now it’s time to get back on track with the blog posts, so here I am starting with my July favorites. I have a ton of great ideas for upcoming posts and can’t wait to share them with you all.
Gingham off-the-shoulder top – Gingham has been in this summer and when I saw this top at Target (yes, Target!) I knew I had to get it. Plus the price is great! I definitely suggest checking out Target for the latest trends before dropping a ton of money on something at a department store.
Patriotic Apparel – I firmly believe in being patriotic all summer long, not just around the Fourth of July. This month I rocked this star racerback tank from American Eagle. I wore it around the Fourth and to Faster Horses. It’s one of my favorite summer tops to wear. Below you can see I paired it with white denim shorts and for the concert, I wore my Ariat boots.
Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation – I tried this foundation at Ulta last month when I was looking for a waterproof or long lasting foundation that would last all day in the heat while I was at Faster Horses. I also knew I would need a good foundation that would withstand the humidity during my trip to New Orleans. The price tag is a little high, but this foundation is super buildable and a little bit goes a long way. You don’t need more than a pump to cover your whole face.
Urban Decay Urban Defense Complexion Primer – Over the last year, I have tried a lot of primers and this one is hands down my favorite one that I have tried. It works perfectly with the All Nighter foundation to help my makeup last all day long and it makes your face look super smooth.
Praying by Kesha – Kesha is officially back and has released new music. I think this song is so passionate and shows her true talent. Yeah, her old music was good, but this song shows she has some pipes! Also, check out the live version.
Luke Bryan – This month I saw Luke Bryan in concert for the fourth time… yes, the fourth time… But he is totally worth it because he never disappoints. When I saw him at Faster Horses, he was starting to lose his voice from doing four shows in a row. But that didn’t stop him from putting on the best show. He still sang as great as ever.
Malibu by Miley Cyrus – I wasn’t a huge fan of Miley during her Wrecking Ball phase, but I love this song. It is so catchy and a perfect tune for summer. I think the real Miley is coming out again!
Big Little Lies – Since I graduated and moved, I have really been into audio books. This month I listened to Big Little Lies on Audible and WOW… it was so good! If you love mysteries and drama, this is the perfect book for you! I also just started the TV show on HBO so maybe next month I will let y’all know how that is.
