How to Make the Perfect Christmas Sangria for Your Next Holiday Gathering

Red and white sangria on a metal tray with decorative red and white striped straws

The holiday season is upon us, which means there will be plenty of holiday parties and gatherings to attend in the next few weeks. And with each holiday party usually means bringing a festive dish or drinks to share. I always tend to procrastinate picking up something to take to parties and gatherings, so I need to stop somewhere that is convenient and fast! Luckily, there is a Discount Drug Mart just down the street from my apartment and it is always my go to stop.

If you’re in Ohio, your local Discount Drug Mart saves you the runaround with its convenient and large range of products and state minimum pricing on alcohol. Today, I have partnered with Discount Drug Mart to share their wide selection of wine and how to make two easy Christmas sangria recipes that will be sure to dazzle your friends and family at your next holiday gathering.

This post is sponsored by Discount Drug Mart. As always, all opinions are my own.

The recipes I am sharing with you today are super simple to make and everything you need can be purchased at your local Discount Drug Mart. If you aren’t sure where to find your nearest Discount Drug Mart, click here. Then, all you need to do is put everything into a pitcher the night before your gathering and you are good to go!

White Christmas Sangria

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of Castle Rock Chardonnay
  • 1L bottle of club soda
  • 1 large granny smith apple
  • 1/2 bag of fresh cranberries
  • 1/8+ cup of sugar (or more, to taste)
  • Fresh rosemary

Directions

The night before your soiree or gathering, in a large pitcher or carafe, pour in your cranberries, a diced green apple, sugar, club soda, and wine. For this recipe, I picked up the Castle Rock Chardonnay because it is not only affordable at Drug Mart, but it is also consistently rated highly in Washington state. Stir your ingredients and then allow it to set in the fridge overnight. Serve in a wine glass with ice and garnish with rosemary and a fun, decorative straw!

Red Christmas Sangria

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of 19 Crimes 2017 Red Wine
  • 1 cup of Brandy
  • 1 cup of orange juice
  • 1/2 bag of fresh cranberries
  • 2 large lemons
  • 2 limes
  • 2 oranges
  • Fresh rosemary or cinnamon sticks

Directions

The night before your gathering, pour in your cranberries, sliced lemons, limes, and oranges, orange juice, brandy, and wine into a large pitcher or carafe. Stir your ingredients and then allow it to set in the fridge overnight. Serve in a wine glass with ice and garnish with rosemary or cinnamon sticks and a fun, decorative straw! While serving the sangria, be sure to tell your friends and family about the Living Wine Labels app because it’s a great conversation starter at parties!

Pro tip: The longer your sangria sits in the fridge, the more flavor it will have! However, if you are on a tight timeline, it will still be good if you make it the same day!

Be sure to let me know in the comments if you try out one of my recipes! Happy Holidays!

xoxo,

Kasually Katie
